The Chainsmokers and NGHTMRE Team Up for “Save Yourself”

Published

on

Collaborations are often times explosive and that can certainly be the case as The Chainsmokers and NGHTMRE has teamed up for a collaborative track called “Save Yourself” that officially dropped over this weekend.

All artists commented on the collaboration, which you can see below:

“Tyler(NGHTMRE) has been a good friend of ours for some time and we always talked about how great it would be to work together on a song. We have always been a huge fan of his style of producing and thought that if we came together on a song we could make something really unique and badass, and the idea of making something really gnarly was very appealing. We come from the dance world, those are our roots and we are really excited to release a song that is deeply rooted in that with NGHTMRE. We think our fans will be really excited about this one!” – The Chainsmokers.

“The guys and I had been talking about working on something together for a little while. I was excited to hear they wanted to create a heavier track with more of a festival vibe. Everything just came together so perfectly in the end and the track has been smashing in our live shows. Hope you guys like it as much as we do!”-NGHTMRE

Fortnite Reveals Marshmello Event Numbers

Published

on

Fortnite developer Epic Games has officially unveiled the numbers from their Marshmello branded concert event that dominated Twitch streams earlier this year.

According to The Verge, who cited Epic Games, 10.7 million people attended the Marshmello in-game concert, which topped the previous largest in-game event that took place back in November when the mysterious purple cube was destroyed.

It’s no secret that musicians have been finding cross-over success with either appearing on, or engaging in their own Twitch channels, and leveraging Fortnite’s, and Twitch‘s, overwhelming popularity seems to have been a brilliant idea.

It will be interesting to see how more EDM musicians proceed with both gaming and streaming moving forward, as there are plenty of opportunities to work with Twitch, Mixer streams, and a number of sub-sections of the streaming community such as female streamers.

Also, this could lead to more cross-over for EDM artists and Esports, perhaps some sort of partnership deals with Esports teams, or with national and/or global Esports organizations.

Check Out Whipped Cream’s New Track ‘Blood’

Published

on

Halloween is right around the corner and a number of artists are taking part in the October-long celebration by releasing some spooky, Halloween themed tracks, and Whipped Cream’s new track ‘Blood’ is no exception.

“This is my first original record in 9 months that I will be sharing. I took the last 9 months, to properly project what goes on inside my mind and put it into my music and I’m really happy I did that as I grew a lot more into my higher self. I have always been inspired by world sound and cinematic sound. Blood is a perfect blend of both yet also maintains an energy the human body will move to. I’m really happy to start this next chapter with this song and finish this year off with more of my new music, each of which tells their own story.  WHIPPED CREAM SZN is officially here” – C
