The Chainsmokers and NGHTMRE Team Up for “Save Yourself”

Published

on

Collaborations are often times explosive and that can certainly be the case as The Chainsmokers and NGHTMRE has teamed up for a collaborative track called “Save Yourself” that officially dropped over this weekend.

All artists commented on the collaboration, which you can see below:

“Tyler(NGHTMRE) has been a good friend of ours for some time and we always talked about how great it would be to work together on a song. We have always been a huge fan of his style of producing and thought that if we came together on a song we could make something really unique and badass, and the idea of making something really gnarly was very appealing. We come from the dance world, those are our roots and we are really excited to release a song that is deeply rooted in that with NGHTMRE. We think our fans will be really excited about this one!” – The Chainsmokers.

“The guys and I had been talking about working on something together for a little while. I was excited to hear they wanted to create a heavier track with more of a festival vibe. Everything just came together so perfectly in the end and the track has been smashing in our live shows. Hope you guys like it as much as we do!”-NGHTMRE

No, that isn’t a typo in the headline. Dance music pioneer Paul Oakenfold will make history this September when he becomes the first ever DJ to play at UNESCO World Heritage site Stonehenge, the mysterious landmark.

While only 50 guests, invite only, will witness the historic event first hand, Oakenfold will record the performance to share with fans later on ‘Live At Stonehenge’.

“I am so lucky to be able to share my music from such an iconic site,” said Oakenfold, according to MixMag. “The energy there will be like nowhere else on earth, and this will be reflected in my music and performance.

“Despite having performed at incredible events and locations all across the globe, sunset at Stonehenge will be the most magical.”

All funds raised from the historic show will go to English Heritage, a charity that preserves over 400 historic sites.

Disclosure Releases Two New Tracks

Published

on

Howard and Guy Lawrence, otherwise known at Disclosure, have been a bit scaled back over the past year, with the exception of their track “Ultimatum” featuring Fatoumata Diawara back in May, the duo has been relatively quiet.

The group announced in January that they would not be organizing the WILD LIFE festival with Rudimental, stating that they were instead utilizing that time to “embark on album number 3”.

Now, things seem to be ramping up for the pair, as they have dropped two brand new tracks called “Where Angels Fear to Tread” and “Moonlight”, along with the following message:

“We’ve been completely obsessed with acapella jazz groups lately, and wanted to try and incorporate that sound into our music. The Four Freshmen where one of the earliest groups to incorporate advanced jazz harmony into this style and inspired the likes of The Beach Boys. Years later, they are still inspiring us! Hope you all enjoy.”
