I've been using fruity loops and its time to upgrade I think. I have access to a PC and mac and my usb soundcard will work on both so I can use either cubase or logic but which should I go for?

You need a mac to use logic and everyone knows mac are shit so use cubase
Logic or Ableton
I'd say logic all the way
To be honest all the major DAW's are pretty much on par these days, cubase runs on pc and mac where as logic is mac only but in my opinion mac are more reliable so I stick with logic , but with that said logic use's AU not vst so some plugins don't offer a AU version but all the major ones do so ...

this is the main issue the VSTs , there are hundreds more than AU ,
plus cubase imo has a better sound engine , and sounds a lot better than abelton as well.
But logic is still a great d.a.w

only problem with cubase is its £500
THATS FOR THE FULL ON APP, YOU CAN GET A CHAEP STUDIO VERION FOR UNDER £150 OR FREE WITH A AUDIO INTERFACE
I used logic to make my dubstep remix. It's worth the money (if you have a mac)and will use it a lot.
