Deadmau5 took to social media to rant about the ban when it was first levied on him, calling his ban “double standard when it comes to censoring and suspending”, but later apologized for his comments saying;
“I know what I said was wrong, and my hastily composed non-apology was an insult to injury.”
“They (Twitch) had every right to ban me for that, it was clearly in violation of their terms.”
It will be interesting to see what happens from here as Deadmau5 has stated that even if his ban from Twitch was lifted, he would not return to the platform to carry on his own, or participate in other Twitch channels.
Twitch has come under fire as of late for what many claim is an unbalanced and unfair governing system when it comes to suspensions, bans, and punishments as the platform continues to grow in the realm of esports teams, popular brands, sports, female streamers, and more live content.
Fortnite Reveals Marshmello Event Numbers
Fortnite developer Epic Games has officially unveiled the numbers from their Marshmello branded concert event that dominated Twitch streams earlier this year.
According to The Verge, who cited Epic Games, 10.7 million people attended the Marshmello in-game concert, which topped the previous largest in-game event that took place back in November when the mysterious purple cube was destroyed.
It’s no secret that musicians have been finding cross-over success with either appearing on, or engaging in their own Twitch channels, and leveraging Fortnite’s, and Twitch‘s, overwhelming popularity seems to have been a brilliant idea.
It will be interesting to see how more EDM musicians proceed with both gaming and streaming moving forward, as there are plenty of opportunities to work with Twitch, Mixer streams, and a number of sub-sections of the streaming community such as female streamers.

Check Out Whipped Cream’s New Track ‘Blood’
Halloween is right around the corner and a number of artists are taking part in the October-long celebration by releasing some spooky, Halloween themed tracks, and Whipped Cream’s new track ‘Blood’ is no exception.
“This is my first original record in 9 months that I will be sharing. I took the last 9 months, to properly project what goes on inside my mind and put it into my music and I’m really happy I did that as I grew a lot more into my higher self. I have always been inspired by world sound and cinematic sound. Blood is a perfect blend of both yet also maintains an energy the human body will move to. I’m really happy to start this next chapter with this song and finish this year off with more of my new music, each of which tells their own story. WHIPPED CREAM SZN is officially here” – C
